Full lifecycle (from design to implementation). The design of the database from the concept described by the customer. Progressing to the next phase of the logical design (entity relationships, data domains, and constraints). An ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) is generated. Continuing to the physical design (storage requirements, data retention policy). Deploying the design by forward engineering the design into an instantiated database. The deploying of the database is implemented in the engineering phase.
Changes(Logical/Physical) are requested by the customer to be made to an existing database.
Additional changes (Logical/Physical) are requested by customer to the database. These changes may be requested by a new customer or at some later time by an existing customer.
The monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the database.
The designing and development of database objects (tables, views, triggers, etc.) to be added to an existing database. Or the implementation of a new database design.
